Proper Computer Recycling

e-Waste

Computer recycling is a great way of protecting the environment, but we'll admit it's not that easy. MSU Libraries and Computer Technology have put together some information that can help in the process of clearing out old information on computers so they can be repurposed and also provides tips for proper hardware disposal.

Visit the MSU Enterprise Information Stewardship website for more information and resources.

Where your newspaper SHOULD go

Recycle bins are located all over MSU's campus. Next time you pass one, drop your used newspaper into the bins instead of the trash.

A Better way to Discard Lecture Notes

Eager to get rid of those old notes cluttering your notebooks and workspace? Collect up all those unwanted papers and take them to your nearest recycle bin instead of throwing them in the trash.

Save trees, Use your Library

Pick up books from your local library or used book store. The library is also many times a great place for finding magazines, CDs, books-on-tape, and videos.

See What others are doing

MSU student David Cooper won 3rd place in the Association for Higher Education Campus Television Administrators Student Video Publication Award Contest for his documentary about recycling at MSU entitled "Making It Work". The short-film includes interviews with students, faculty, and staff from around the university to find out what members of our community think about recycling and what they are doing to help. Great work David!
