Spartans are focused on research projects that tackle sustainability across campus and around the world. As a major research university, Michigan State is committed to furthering knowledge and improving life for present and future generations through the convention of research.
In order to engage MSU faculty, staff and students in opportunities to advance sustainability research, the Sustainability department, supported by Infrastructure Planning and Facilities, offers grants to promising projects.
Funded research projects investigate topics in environmental sustainability specific to MSU. Research conclusions and findings result in sustainable recommendations for MSU’s campus.
The Be Spartan Green Student Project Fund provides financial support for students exploring solutions to our most pressing challenges in sustainability at MSU.
