Are you curious about what went into the Wilson/Birch Steam Distribution and Road Reconstruction project? Well now you can check out some behind the scenes videos brought to you by the Physical Plant website. You can check out all three videos here.

MSU student David Cooper recently won 3rd place in the Association for Higher Education Campus Television Administrators Student Video Publication Award Contest for his documentary about recycling at MSU entitled "Making It Work". The short-film includes interviews with students, faculty, and staff from around the university to find out what members of our community think about recycling and what they are doing to help. Great work David!

Can't wait for the brand new MSU Surplus and Recycling Center to open? The good people of the MSU Physical Plant Division give us a sneak peak at the new facility with this tour from December 2008.

Housing and Food Services held an environmental stewardship forum in April 2008. The forum brought together people from all parts of the University to discuss and share ideas for how to increase sustainability at MSU.

Did you know that MSU recently opened a 4,000 squarefoot greenhouse dedicated to producing organic food? Well it did! It's called the Yakeley Hoop House and it provides Yakeley Hall with all kinds of wonderful organic produce. The new facility is built right into the 10-acre MSU Student Organic Farm. Here is what it looked like when the ceremonial ivy vine was cut to open the facility.

Be Spartan Green's own Jennifer Sowa sat down recently with MLive.com to let their readers know how adopting simple behavior changes like turning off unused electronics can have a big impact on carbon emissions.
